BREATHEbooks is a resource for providing free or low cost community outreach and dissemination of publications, especially graphic or comic book narratives. The overall focus is on health topics, including environmental health hazards, and general health information topics. The target audience is our community members, including families, children, and in some cases health researchers and physicians.

We Need Your Support

We are soliciting philanthropic and related support to help fund the printing and distribution costs of our publications, which will be distributed at community events, healthcare locations including free clinics.

Contributing Your Narrative Work

We encourage contributions of graphic narrative works to our collection, which will be edited and published by this site. Our editorial board consists of clinicians, community representatives, researchers, and individuals active in graphic medicine. Most of the works have originated at the University of California, Riverside, School of Medicine, though outside contributions are also encouraged. 

Where appropriate, we will provide copyright protection assigned to the author when requested as well as ISBN registration.
